I am a quilter living in Woodbridge, Suffolk who has made quilts since I was a teenager. I also ring bells! Both are great British traditions....I will try to feature some of my antique Welsh and Durham quilts, the quilts I make myself, my quilting activities and also some of my bellringing achievements. Plus as many photos as I can manage. NB: Double click on the photos to see greater detail, then use back button to return to the main page.

Here is a lovely tour of Jen Jones' quilt shop in Llanybydder, Wales....given by Jen herself. It gives a good flavour of the atmosphere in this wonderful shop. Quilts and also Welsh blankets are discussed...enjoy.....

  1. A really interesting video. Thank you. She is such a vibrant speaker. I have never been to Jen's own shop, but it is on my list! Recently been to the Kaffe Fassett exhibition and lecture in Lampeter which was wonderful. Ann x

  5. Another reason I enjoyed Jen Jones is that she made me feel like my quilt making was good enough. It doesn't have to be perfect, just the fact that I created something counts.

  6. I couldn't Agee with you more, Robin. those ladies were working hard and had to improvise if they ran out of room, but the quilts they created are so lively...

  7. Thank you for the link, Pippa. I hope one day I will visit Jen's shop and see all these wonderful quilts in person. They are so lively and I wish they could speak and tell us their stories...

  8. Wow, watching that film was really inspiring. I can't wait to visit and also agree about the quilts not having to be perfect. Thanks Pippa.
