I sewed a sample with three half square triangles and plus plain patches- it made up alright - but the linen/cotton was very coarse - it was difficult to mark and now, quilting, I have to quilt with bigger stitches - will finish it off but definately having second thoughts now...PippaPippa Moss - Welsh Quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12102958156763153144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1738660161076439950.post-88436137155154585352011-02-09T10:38:32.006+00:002011-02-09T10:38:32.006+00:00If the red chambray would be any use, just let me ...If the red chambray would be any use, just let me know. I haven't washed it so don't know how it would behave, but probably better than the linen/cotton blend. There again, you'll be quilting it quite densely so maybe it would be OK.

The chambray was acquired for my recent red and white quilt (pics on my blog) for the setting triangles but I ended up using a red on white mini polka dot instead.Susan Briscoehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12478005503421741631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1738660161076439950.post-9425192577088808012011-02-07T22:21:03.200+00:002011-02-07T22:21:03.200+00:00Thanks for your very kind offer, Susan, I am going...Thanks for your very kind offer, Susan, I am going to make up a sample tomorrow morning and I'll let you know how I got on...washed cloth but it did fray a lot (linen warp threads). I think I got it from The Shuttle at one of the shows. Would it be any good for your project? I think it is wider than regular quilt cotton and I bought at least 2 yards I think.Susan Briscoehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12478005503421741631noreply@blogger.com
